Dr. Dolan serves as Chair of the Board for the American Herbalists Guild and as a Regional Director for the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia and a M.S. in Therapeutic Herbalism and D.C.N. (Doctor of Clinical Nutrition) from Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH). Her passions lie in teaching and empowering her clients and students by cultivating their self-awareness and educating them about finding nourishment through the many dimensions of health.
Many of Dr. Dolan's clients have complex chronic conditions and she specializes in providing support and healing to those carrying physiological burdens from trauma. Incorporating techniques from her training in Somatic Experiencing and her roots in herbal therapeutics, her functional nutrition-based approach merges healing modalities. She seeks to help her clients reclaim life-sustaining cycles of wakefulness and rest, respect the seasons of the earth and of their lives, and live authentically within their natural, social and spiritual communities.
Dr. Dolan's case studies and research have been published in peer-reviewed journals. She is adjunct faculty at the Maryland University of Integrative Health where she teaches in the Nutrition and Herbal Medicine department.
Along with her husband, Keren also serves the Mid-Atlantic arts community through the non-profit they helped create- Artists in Motion. In her spare time, she enjoys making family-oriented games and books with her husband and three kids. And, when truly solo, she enjoys cultivating medicinal herbs, watching romantic comedies and reading historical fiction.
